Taxes & Duties
Shop Worldwide in Your Local Currency. Below, we answer common questions about taxes, duties, and what you can expect when placing an order.
Do I Have to Pay UK VAT?
If you are browsing our website from outside the UK or have selected a foreign
currency, the prices displayed will exclude UK VAT.
If you are unsure UK VAT is automatically removed at checkout if your shipping address is outside
the UK.
What Do I Have to Pay?
While you don’t pay UK VAT, you may need to pay your own country’s
import VAT, customs duties, or other charges when your order arrives in your country. Each country has its own rules and trade agreements, so these fees can vary.
Here’s How It Works:
- We provide a digital commercial invoice with all the required details about your order, including your shipping address, item descriptions, prices paid, HS codes (product classifications), shipping cost, and country of origin.
- These details are used to calculate any import fees.
- If fees are due, our shipping partner (most often DHL) will contact you with the relevant information.
- If no fees are due, your package will be delivered.
Import taxes and duties are determined by your country’s customs authority and are beyond our or DHL’s control. While we’d prefer there were no additional charges, 'it is the customer’s responsibility to pay any applicable fees before delivery'. If you’re unsure about potential costs, we recommend checking with your local customs office for more details.
How Can We Help?
If you’re unsure about the final fees or need additional information, don’t hesitate to contact us. We can provide an estimate based on your selected items.
However, please note that both we and DHL can only provide estimates—the final fees will be determined by your local customs office.
Unpaid Taxes & Duties / Cancellation Policy
Once your order has been dispatched, it is the customer’s responsibility to accept delivery and cover any associated costs, including but not limited to:
- Local VAT
- Service charges (brokerage fees)
- Import duties
If these charges are unpaid or the delivery is refused, your package will be returned to us by the shipping carrier, potentially incurring additional fees (outbound shipping, inbound and service charges). These costs will be deducted from any refund amount, and only the remaining balance will be refunded. Please note It can take some time to be invoiced by DHL and to receive the final balance. A breakdown of charges can be provided upon request.
